Dating Tips From Jennifer for Men

Posted by

1. Always Brush and Floss your teeth bad breath is a turn off to everyone and a mint does not always mask it – plus the sugar can give you tooth decay.

2. Dress to empress, according to Robert Kurzban, assistant professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania we make decisions on potential mates “in the first three seconds.”

3. Be on time.

4. Never force us to kiss you on the first or second date – we will if we want to, or had one too many drinks.

5. Watch your table manners, loud talking, chewing with your mouth open, slurping your soup and who is a fan of hearing another person chew on ice while string your drink with a straw.

6. Be a “man” the lines between men and women have become so blurred most of the women I have talked with still want to have the car door opened and help with our jackets.

7. Gum Smacking, did you see that Britney Spears interview with Matt Lauer?,
Not good.

8. Sorry we still like to have you pick up the bill, Dutch is ok after a awhile but in the beginning we will just think you are cheap and that is a good reason not to go out with you again no matter how handsome you are.

9. Too much text messaging, emailing, calling – “hello stalker boyl”
Not attractive, you probably would not like it if she did that you.

10. Don’t over do it with the cologne.

11. Make us laugh. Big turn on a lot can be said for a funny man that does not
take himself to seriously.

12. Despite this laundry list my best advice is to be your extraordinary self, why pretend to be someone else.

13. Be a good listener but when speaking up, speak from the heart without attachment to the outcome. Definitely speak up!

About Jennifer Kelton

Jennifer KeltonI did not wake up one morning and say “hey I think I’d like a man use my sweater like a towel, write a candid dating book, become a dating expert, the CEO and founder of a social dating site and have three blogs.”

All of this has happened in a slow burn and here I am. The good, the bad, the mistakes, way too many tears shed to count, lots of wine and oh my goodness a huge learning curve that leaves me much of the time saying, “I’m sorry but this is all new to me.”
